Play Assessment Day care isn’t necessarily for every dog hence the importance of a Play Assessment day. The Play Assessment is all about how your dog copes in our environment. We monitor their body language and let them show us how they are feeling. If they are showing signs of being extremely stressed or overwhelmed with the high stimulation environment then we will give you a call to come and collect them early. Day care isn't for every dog and its really important to let each dog guide us on what they are comfortable with. Sometimes it can take up to a month before we really see their true personality and social behaviour.
Dogs must meet the following criteria:
Non-aggressive tendencies especially with toy/food sharing and territory.
Ability to play in groups or be content to just watch.
No excessive barking tendencies.
Currently registered with their Council.
Be spayed or neutered by 6 - 12 months of age.
Proof of current vaccinations or Titer test are required for DHPP (Distemper / Hepatitis / Parainfluenza / Parvovirus), Lepto virus and Canine Cough before entry.
No fleas please – all dogs must be under a flea program. Any dogs showing signs will not be allowed in.
Once your dog becomes a member with us it's important the following rules are followed;
Dogs must be on a leash at all times during drop off and pick up. NO FLEXI LEADS.
If your dog is NOT WELL please do not bring them to day care. All dogs must be free from anything that could potentially make other members unwell – this includes sneezing, coughing, hacking, diarrhoea. If you are not sure give us a call before coming in.
If your dog becomes unwell when with us we will put them in a private area and contact you to collect them.
Owners are responsible for any aggression or injuries their dog instigates and liable for any medical care expenses and damages that result from injuries caused by their dog.
Just like a child’s day care - coughs, sniffles and other things can be easily shared, Bark-Shire Park is not responsible for the costs if medical attention is required.
Bark-Shire Park has the right to refuse service to anyone and their dog at any time and for any reason.
