Day care isn’t necessarily for every dog hence the importance of a pre-play assessment session. To ensure a safe stress free environment for everyone all our day care doggies must complete a pre-play assessment which consists of a meet and greet with one of our experienced staff members followed by a play session.

Dogs must meet the following criteria:

  • Well socialised, or in training.
  • Non-aggressive tendencies especially with toy/food sharing and territory.
  • Ability to play in groups.
  • No tendency to excessively bark.
  • Dogs must be currently registered with their Council.
  • Dogs must be spayed or neutered by six months of age.
  • Proof of current vaccinations or Titer test are required for DHPP (Distemper / Hepatitis / Parainfluenza / Parvovirus) and Canine Cough before entry.
  • No fleas please – all dogs must be under a flea program. Any dogs showing signs will not be allowed in.

Once your dog becomes a member with us it's important the following rules are followed;

If your dog is NOT WELL please do not bring them to day care. All dogs must be free from anything that could potentially make other members unwell – this includes sneezing, coughing, hacking, diarrhoea. If you’re not sure give us a call before coming in.

If your dog becomes unwell when with us we will put them in a private area and contact you to collect them.

Dogs must be on a leash at all times during drop off and pick up.

Owners are responsible for any aggression or injuries their dog instigates and liable for any medical care expenses and damages that result from injuries caused by their dog.

Just like a child’s day care - coughs, sniffles and other things can be easily shared, Bark-Shire Park is not responsible for the costs if medical attention is required.

Bark-Shire Park has the right to refuse service to me and my dog at any time and for any reason.
